I'm immensely bored today, which is partly why I'm writing here. I've been reading articles about games in my downtime at work, so I did a blog post featuring a few of them. One of them made me want to buy Overboard, a game where you've committed a murder and you're trying to get away with it, so I did. It's yet another one added to the list of games to play this year, which is hella long.
Birthday plans for Josh this Saturday:
Go to lunch (Aubrey's?)
Go to McKay's
Watch Annihilation
Play Wingspan or Outlast Trials, or both
It'll be a fun pals day!
Speaking of pals, I don't know how I feel about Palworld. I guess it's just a more adult Pokemon, which is maybe something that some people needed, but it feels kind of soulless, especially since most of the pal designs were basically ripped off of Pokemon. It's extremely popular, though, so who am I to judge? Maybe I'll even cave and play it eventually.
I have more confidence in my writing lately. Aside from what I write here, of course, which is just rambling mundanely. But I think the piece I wrote for Unwinnable came out really well, and I'm even writing fanfiction again in the form of a little character study on Ashley Graham of Resident Evil 4. All I want to do is write, write, write. Here and everywhere.
I want to write a feature for Adventure Gamers, maybe on the difference between puzzle difficulty in older games versus today, and how that affects the narrative and the overall experience of playing.
I need to go add tags for my "favorite songs" and "currently reading" on the previous post. Bye for now!
