I definitely didn't feel like writing when I did my Good & Not-So-Good post last night. I'm feeling more up to it today.

The system is still down at work. I'm really not looking forward to next week when it comes back up and I have oodles of work piled up for me to get through. It also means that today is yet another incredibly boring day with lots of downtime. Hence why I'm writing here.

I woke up this morning with a sore throat and feeling very congested. It hasn't been fun, but I don't feel so sick that I can't work, and I still did my skincare routine earlier, albeit a little late. My hair looks amazing today too, very full and wavy, of course on a day when I feel like bleh and I don't need to go anywhere or do anything. Isn't that the way it always goes? I'm really loving this new Redken All Soft shampoo I got, though. It does wonders for my hair.

I picked up Garden Life, and I plan to play it after work while listening to the new Amaranthe album, which was released today. It'll be a good evening.

The Friday Five:

What is the name of...

1. Your favorite book?

The Innkeeper's Song by Peter S. Beagle

2. Your favorite movie?
Klute

3. Your least favorite adaptation of a book to a movie?
The Hobbit films. There shouldn't have been three. They added a whole bunch of unnecessary stuff, and it just didn't reach the level of the LotR adaptations.

4. Your least favorite adaptation ever of anything to a movie?
Probably Avatar: The Last Airbender. I never actually saw the movie, but I heard enough about it to know that I don't want to. Now they've adapted it to a TV show, and I honestly wish they would just leave it alone. The original series is perfect as is. It doesn't need any adaptations.

5. Your first ever novel/comic book/movie character crush?
Howl from Howl's Moving Castle

And Friday 5:

1. What’s the strangest food you’ve eaten out of a can?
Maybe jellied cranberry sauce? I'm honestly not sure what constitutes strange here, or that I've ever eaten anything very strange out of a can.

2. What food most recently made you ill?
I felt awful after eating Chili's a couple of weeks ago.

3. What movie makes you really want to eat?
Ghibli movies. Even though it's animated, the food in those movies always looks so good and makes me want to eat.

4. What haven’t you eaten in a really, really long time?
Curry, and it's one of my favorite foods! I should make some next week.

5. What did you most recently eat in a moving vehicle?
Probably a bacon burrito from Scooter's. I tend to eat those in the car while driving, admittedly.
